Membership applications are assessed based on a combination of academic qualifications, membership of other industry institutes and experience in the workplace. Each carry a defined set of requirements to ensure that all members are appropriately qualified and experienced.

Explore AICCP

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the construction industry.

Associate membership is available to professionals who have an appropriate professional qualification within the industry and have an interest in construction claims.

Associates are encouraged to work towards MICCP via continued professional development.

£260 / year*

Explore MICCP

Minimum of 10 years’ experience working within the construction industry.

Full Member of the institute is available to those who have appropriate qualifications and experience to manage, prepare and respond to construction claims to the highest professional standards.

£260 / year*

Explore FICCP

Minimum of 20 years’ experience working within the construction industry.

Fellowship is available to those who can demonstrate significant experience in the construction claims specialty and have held senior positions that demanded an in-depth knowledge of claims.

Fellows should be prepared to mentor other ICCP members, share their knowledge and contribute to the institute in a proactive way.

Student membership is available to those who are studying a full-time degree relating to the construction industry and who have an interest in the specialist field of construction claims.

Available to those who have completed a full-time degree in the construction industry. They will be working to gain sufficient experience within the industry to join as an Associate member.


*Fee concessions are available to applicants who reside in certain qualifying countries.

A Recognised Professional Qualification

ICCP membership provides you with a recognised professional qualification. You will receive a certificate of membership and be entitled to include the appropriate membership designation after your name, i.e. AICCP, MICCP or FICCP.
